Sample Time! Spunky Eclectic January 2010 Club Fiber

Fiber Details
Name: Pomegranate (approx 0.5 oz - 11.5 oz left)
Fiber: Brown Shetland

Sample Skein: 2 strand, heavy fingering weight

Results: Very springy! Fluffed up quite a bit while plying, but didn't change all that much when finishing.

Sample swatch: 3.25cm needle

 

Results: I definitely like the two strands, but I think I will shoot for a smaller single, as the swatch is pretty stiff, and I generally never knit with anything bigger than 3.25 cm needles.

Starting Over

So, I've been crap at keeping up with my blog in the past, so I'm starting over for 2010. I've been focused on spinning/knitting recently, so that's most of what you'll see here. To start things off right, take a look at the luscious fiber that arrived yesterday from Spunky Eclectic:

This stuff is ridiculously soft - I can't wait to start spinning it up!

I've spent most of the day trying to set the dye in this:

It's up drying now - we'll see how it looks after all the abuse I put it through today!
